"Short vacation"

3 couples went for 5 days. It was great staying on Fremont Street as the hotel was convenient to many things. The rooms were aways from the casino, but after 2 days you got used to it. The rooms were clean, but the only thing is that you had to text whomever to get bottles of water each day. It was convenient to the airport, about 3 miles and we took a shuttle both ways. Employees were friendly and courteous

I needed to checkout Fremont Street and combinate that with some fun poker! The poker room is old small and warm but the staff were so sweet! Like small town sweet no attitude or snobby just sweet🌺🌺 I don't know if their air-conditioning was broken... (This is the reason they get only 3 dots I can take a lot bit seriously so warm. )Or just strategy so people will drink more. 😀 I had a lot of fun and Fremont Street is amazing... 2 different Street concerts packed with people definitely not disappointed

"Good, clean hotel and nice casino."

I've enjoyed the Golden Nugget before, and I enjoyed it this time too. The good thing about staying downtown is that everything is fairly close together. The casinos are smaller and there is usually some free entertainment out on Fremont. We had a very spacious room on the top floor of the Carson tower, which gave us a wonderful view of the mountains. Parking is free, and handy right across the street. Heads up! the Starbucks at the bottom of the elevators gets pretty busy in the morning. As does the one out by Fremont. Be prepared to line up. As someone else mentioned, a coffee pot in the room would be wonderful. Noticed an extra level of security this time, with security guards asking to see room cards, before allowing you by the elevators. It's minor inconvenience, but did notice them reject a couple of drunk hookers one morning while waiting in line for my coffee. Wonderfully decorated for Christmas too. It has several restaurants and we ate at a few of them, it really needs a cheap breakfast joint, but we found one directly across Fremont inside another casino.

Joey Flanagan was the hostess with the mostress. Had such a great time! Just wish the pool or even a hot tub would've been open. The food and drinks were great. Very clean rooms and it's nice to be right in the heart of downtown.

Been coming to Vegas for 45 years, usually staying on the strip. This visit I wanted to stay downtown at the golden nugget. I love it down here- all the action, Fremont Street, lower prices and good food. So I knew this is where I wanted to stay. We are here to see George strait in concert, but I wanted to stay at the other end of town at the golden nugget. While the room is nothing fancy, it was perfect for our needs: it’s clean, reasonably priced, lots of activities around us, restaurants, bars, music and street life. I couldn’t be happier being here.
